weird bug

Well i found a bug or error that i can recreate..and its quite odd. If i start my computer without the dawn of war cd in it, when i insert the cd and run the game..the graphics in everything are garbled (from the intro movie, main menu, game, etc.) but when i restart the computer with the cd inserted..the game runs fine. I just thought that was quite a strange bug. not like i take the cd out often ;) but still kinda annoying

specs:

3.06 ghz
1024 ram
geforcefx5500 128mg
80gig hd 20-60 partition

Update drivers on your video card, will most likely fix it.

As this isn't a bug, just a problem that needs solving, moving.

My drivers are updated, i had 66.93, when i first found the problem but now i'm using 67.03 beta. and it hasn't stopped thats why i'm posting. the circumstances just seem odd to me though, i dont see how the time i insert the cd would have any affect on the graphics in the game.
