Everytime I try and connect with the lobby system to get into an online game I get a 'check your Internet connection, firewall and router' message.
My internet connection is fine. In fact I have been online writing this shortly after trying to get online DoW working.
I have registered my name and password with the online lobby system as when I try to do it again, it tells me I cannot use the same name.
hateful hateful hateful.
I turn off zonealarm and get the same thing.
I am running 1.2 patch
Fresh installation, no changes to Windows XP
All and any help appreciated.

Post your warnings.log after a failed connection attempt.
If you're at university, chances are they may have blocked port 6667, thus preventing you from connecting to peerchat.gamespy.com.

Warning.log file as requested.
Tried to turn off firewall, got same results.
Have tried pinging peerchat.gamespy.com and am getting replies WITH firewall UP.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Are you at school/university?
It certainly looks like port 6667 is being blocked.

Thanks for the response.
I am not at Uni (anymore), I'm at home trying to connect with Ntl cable. I am told Ntl cable might block this port for security reasons so does anyone else successfully play DoW online via Ntl cable?
I had installed Windows XP service pack 2 (has been uninstalled now).
Do you know how I can check if my 6667 port is being blocked?
Regards
