2 DoW problems i'm having

First, i can't play lan or direct connect, i've tried every possible solution and i the "START" button never activates for me to click on, even if i dont have any other people in the room, just myself and the cpu...

Second, i can't install patch 1.10, it says it's corrupt, i got it from fileplanet, and 3dgames isnt up.. any other places i can find one thats not corrupt?

First... LAN or Direct Connect require other people in the game to start it. If there are other people in the game, all players must click Ready to start. To play only vs the CPU use the Skirmish mode, not Direct or LAN.

Second. Sign onto gamespy and allow it to download the patch for you. You need to get 1.01 first, then 1.10, then 1.20.

Ok i got that, we've tried, and he was ready, im not sure if he clicked ready somewhere or not, but it said he was ready, indicated w/ the green light... even so, we couldnt start the map.. /shrug thanks though

any other ideas as to why i cant start a Lan or IP hose game? and by start i mean clicking the START button and loading the map ect.. have a friend in the room, he's ready.. i can click any other buttons, just not 'start'.. poo

yes :P unless theres a hidden ready button i dont know about!

Im assuming it works the same as the online lobby - all you should need to do is have both players click their little green circles (the ready buttons) and then you click start. Are you both running the same version of the game? If you couldnt install 1.10 but hes on 1.20 then that could explain it...

ok we're dumb, he wasnt hitting his ready button.. haha, i assumed he was ready since it was green ><

anywho.. is there another way to patch besides the link you set?

Yes, current patch version is 1.2. Just log onto gamespy with DoW and it will patch your game to the latest version.
