Okay, at a severe cost to my clients, I formatted partition, reinstall Windows, update all updates, reinstall all drivers, sweep with MS Giant, Adaware, AVG, and Spybot (all for other drives), new install of DOW on fresh drive with new Windows install, even was able to get better settings this time.
System is 3.0 ghz Intel HT
1 gig Geil Ram
@ 750gig HD space (go mp3's)
ATI AllinWonder 9600
What else do you need to know? I played 300 games before I had any problems... then, random and consistent dropping, some early game, some late game, some midgame, independent of whats going on in the game re fighting and calm.
My connection is constant, I play from work after hours. Theres no traffic on teh server now, Im the only loser here.
Absolutely everything is up to date and current. All drivers, DX9.0c, and my Windows is fresh install, DoW and MS Office are the only things on it.
Before I fire up Dow, I reboot having deselsected all my memory resident stuff in msconfig, ie: MS Giant, Adaware, Spybot, AVG, all off.
I pwn with the psm... but I drop before I taste the sweet poon of victory.

I will now try to diable "write combining" and look into VPU recovery, although I do not belive that I even have that option with my install of ATI recent driver... I may have chosen to not install that feature or something.... or I cant find it... its not in the advanced display properties... I can't begin to know where "fastwrite" is, but I suppose Ill have to learn about that too...
Some looking over would be cool. Not becasue I think I deserve it, but becasue I think I have done everything any unreasonable gamer would have done to make sure that his system was not responsible for the sudden and unexplained dropping. I am a 65% player and I have fun using this game as a release. I clearly need to work harder at my job, but I have fun doing this... when I don't drop for no good reason.
