disappearing text

I have just recently noticed a problem with my DOW game. About 1/3 of the way through the game all the text on my screen seems to disappear. All of the lettering disappears including how much req and power i have down to like the descriptions of cover and stuff. I havent patched the game yet, could this be the problem? I am going to patch it tonight but I just thought I would get some further insight on the subject.

Like you said: patch and see... I think this is one of the problems they addressed with patch 1.01???

apparently not i just patched the game last night and i played this morning and the same thing happened again. I think it might be my video card so ill try and take it back ( still under warranty hehe :) ) and get a new one and see if that will help. Although, further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This might be obvious to you, but do you have the latest drivers for your video card, DirectX, etc. up to date??

You're likely hitting the key to hide all the onscreen information.

and which key hides the info.? just for future reference

Can't remember off the top of my head... backspace or something. Check in the file which contains the key configurations.
