custom keys in 1.3 , how to use it??

my custom hotkeys inst working anymore.i know you from relic warned us about this. but how can i edit my keys now?? i thought you would just replace a standart keydefaults.lua in the profiles directory. but the patch do not changed it. my edited keydefaults.lua still there. but ingame, all the keys are turned to default. how can i make my customized keydefaults.lua work again????

I don't remember ever changing any hotkeys. now no hotkeys work for me, it's all point&click action....

As per the readme file, the hotkeys.lua file is no longer working. You may need to re-install completely to see if you can get it working.

I'm having the EXACT same problem. CUSTOM KEYS ARE NOT WORKING. Is there a work around?

it happens randomly, most the time the hotkeys work, but sometimes i get a game where hotkeys dont work and i cannot chat... at all.

i tried uninstall all, inclusive all saved profiles and replays, then i reinstalled allllllll the game and patchs. create a new profile, then i gone to the keysdefault.lua, edited everything manually (i didnt overplaced the new .lua with my old and edited one. no), and then when I come to a skirmish game, all is in default.

Note that his file indicates Bindings version 2.6, where the old one is Bindings version 2.3. When you re-install from scratch, and edit it, what does your binding version say?

my binding version says nothing, its just a notepad file :p . when i join in the game, and start playing, the keys are all on default. just that. no warnings, nothhing.

Figured it out!!!

K, go into the game, create a new profile, exit out, copy the new profiles keydefaults.lua file overtop of your orignal profile's keydefaults.lua file. You've then got the new keydefaults.lua file and can edit it (I just tested a simple change, and it stuck).

ow nice, ill check it out. but remembering all here: even if you reinstalled all the game, you need to create a first account, THEN makes a second, and copy the .lua from this second to the first. otherwise will not work.

Err no, you saved your old profiles, so that's why it nerfed your keydefaults (as far as I can tell by what you're saying anyway)

I DONT saved my old profiles. checked it afeter unnistall the game. The directory of the game was only with the folder of the replay manager. then i deleted it and the root folder of the game. then i reinstalled.

and it always works with my modified keys...
