A couple GUI issues with patch which relic should think about addressing...

1. When hosting or joining a game is there a way to toggle yourself between "player" and "observer" or for the host to do this? I can't seem to find a way to do it.

2. You have a friends list but there seems to be no way to whisper your friends, or players in game or in different channels.

3. Something which is sort of on the wish list I guess but something which wouldn't be hard to incorporate... Folders in the map directory and in the playback directory still do not show up, so there is absolutely no organisation in either folder.

I know this is a bit of a whinge/bitch list but seriously, there is a lot more I could bitch at, these just seem like the more important ones to me.

P.S. Relic great job on the patch and releasing the patch aprox on time.

Doesnt seem to be any way to create a game (host it) as an observer. In other words, if I want to observe a game, I have to join someone elses, I cant set it up for others to play in.

1, no there isn't a way to toggle between observer and player... you need to join as an observer. (little yellow circle beside join), I would imagine that because of the way the game works it wouldn't be possible either...

3, I would really like... I've got over a hundred map now, and it's a pain hosting, because finding maps is an arse.

It's not a bug, it's not general discussion, it's not a balance issue, so it goes into technical help.

sounds like general discussion to me...

Also the way the game works, doesn't mean they cant make it so players can swap spots pre game.

Also considering the games aren't competitive or whatever observers should be able to talk to players? Maybe have it so players can ignore observers if they're being annoying or bm, or kick observers ?

this would be a mistake. it would just lead to accusations of cheating and spying
