I have a serious problem.. when i try to install WH40000 I get 2 types of errors.. either an error 1335 data1.cab is corrupted ( which is a problem with Installshield or there is a problem with the W40k-Data-Sound-Speech.sga file..

I have downloaded the Installshield 10 and the update for it and stiil no good..

anyone have any ideas ?
I have e-mailed MSI and hope to hear from them..

Only thing i can recommend is to uninstall SP2 completely (go to add/remove programs in control panel). It will be a LONG wait for Microsoft to address such relatively minor issues and patch SP2, so you might as well just avoid the hassle altogether. Unless you were having security problems with SP1, SP2 really doesnt add anything useful for most users. Or have you modded the game in any way? It seems odd that those are the files giving you problems. From my experience SP2 (so installshield) only messes with instruction protocols such as uninstall.exe, not the data files themselves. If modding is the source of the problem, then a fresh install should do the trick.

Problem's not likely with SP2, but rather with Windows Installer 3.0.

Try using MSCONFIG to shut off all your startup applications and non-microsoft services, then run the installer again.
