when i "alt+tab", keys shortcuts doesnt work anymore...

i didnt have this problem with 1.2 version

when i m in the game or in the lobby
if i alt+tab to go on windows and come back in the game or lobby
the keyboard doesnt work anymore in the game
and/or in the next game i ll play if i was in the lobby
(if i m in the lobby keys doesnt works too, for exemple "shift+ctrl+ù" doesnt works anymore when i alt+tab)

to have my keys shortcuts back
i have to alt+tab and come back in the game a second time...


thats really really bad, not having his keys working, when a game starts and losing time by having to alt tab and coming back...

C. Alt-Tab to switch applications

Some drivers do not support the Alt-Tab switching between Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and other applications. It is highly recommended that you do not use Alt-Tab to switch to another program while Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War is running. If you wish to switch programs, first close Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War.

i didnt change any drivers
with 1.2 alt+tab did works really fine
dont know why it should not work anymore with 1.3

I got the same problem as Jeantend. Sometimes my shortcuts do not work anymore on DoW with the 1.3 patch. Sometimes, Ctrl+Alt put them back in order but not always. Quite annoying to play with the mouse exclusively !!!

Have u got any real solution ??

EDIT: i was meaning ALT+TAB of course. Sorry but i'm a real noob with comps. BTW, ALT+TAB was always working until 1.3, and I noticed yesterday that sometimes i couldn't even chat during the game...

we had not the bug in 1.2
that mean the problem comes from 1.3 modifications

i made a test
i reinstall all the game without modifications
the bug is present too
but not at each alt tab... really strange...

people didnt had any problem with alt+tab in 1.2, and i would like to know why their is a bug in 1.3 ? and ask for solution or for resolve it in 1.4


well made other tests too

i tried going on windows from DoW, by doing CTRL+ESC (same effect as the windows key, but the windows key doesnt works by me in DoW)
and the keyshortcut problem desapear...

so the problem is with alt+tab... but the problem didnt exist with 1.2 version, so something must have been made wrong in 1.3 so that alt+tab doesnt work correctly anymore...

so the problem is not in relation with the keydefault.lua modifications !

Friend MOE,

I confirm what jeantend say with my little english.
Never modification on the programm DOW. Never Mod, never .lua...
I play DOW since 5 months : 1.10 and 1.20. This the first time i have this problem with the patch 1.3

I note that tacit tell, i dont use alt tab but it's difficult AND its a (little) bug... sorry..

Weird. But what I am trying to say was:

The game was never designed for alt+tab to work. If it did, it was a lucky coincidence.
Therefore I don't think this will be addressed with the next patch.

but shouldnt the program be usable with players habits ?
alt tab is an option used by most of us i think no ?
so its bad to dont make the program compatible with this function if its possible :/
some other game was not compatible at start with alt tab, and they made it fonctional with patch.

their, with DoW, alt tab was fonctionnal, and a patch broke it 8/
mutch players are using alt tab
it would nice if relic took considaration with that :/ no ?

If/when you get this bug, just hit tab (not alt-tab) and your keyboard shortcuts should work propperly again.
