I bought my computer a year ago and was told it has 256mb ram. I have played the beta of this game, the demo and even borrowed the cd from a friend before and played some of the single player campaign. i chose to buy it myself and installed it and now i am being told that i dont have enough physical memoery to run the game and that 256 ram is needed. I am very confused because ive played this and before and the compaq i own has a sticker on it saying 256mb RAM. Now, i am angry because apparently i bought a computer when false advertising took place or i have so many programs running that my RAM has dropped (i think not though...)

Please post a warnings.log and a dxdiag.txt.
Instructions on how to do this click here (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=57900).

And next time, please post the thread directly into the Technical Assistance Forum (http://forums.relicnews.com/forumdisplay.php?f=125) ;)

Your computer probably does have 256Mb of RAM - however it will also have an onboard graphics card which steals system memory to use for itself (rather than a real graphics card which has its own RAM). The solution is to buy an extra 256Mb stick of RAM (dirt cheap) and/or to buy a new graphics card (personally if you want the machine for gaming Id do both...but really only the RAM is necessary, and will improve your computer's performance at all tasks).

to confirm this could you please post a dxdiag.

well on my case it says 256mb is ok for running the game. Might get some long ass load times though.

The problem may be that the video card is sharing the system memory.
