Now that is some cool stuff. Great details.
Think FW will make other chapter specific ones?

My dreadnought is Forgeworld made, the resin does not accept Spraypaint very well at all. It literally flakes off at the touch of a brush. It must be the oils within the resin.

uhm.. you are aware that because of how resin is casted it neads to be throughly cleaned BEFORE you spray or you'll get the flaking effect?

www.armorcast.com has some good tutorials on cleaning steps: http://www.armorcast.com/WorkingResin.html
Personally, I do this:
- Heat up a bowl of water, mixed with dishwashing liquid, in the microwave. As if you were making a bowl of soup.
- Soak the resin pieces in the bowl for several minutes, stirring occasionally.
- You should see little bubbles coming from the resin.
- After soaking for several minutes, take them out and scrub each piece with a dishwashing scrub brush or sponge.
- rinse off the soapy water
- let dry
- profit
Also, back to Dante's post, those shoulder plates are awesome!
I am in the process of finishing the painting of a squad of the old style terminators and I had to paint the Ultramarines symbol freehand. Pain in the ass... Those raised emblems would have been a godsend! Also, the purity bling would be a nice touch as well.
Do the new Terminators come with the shoulder pads as seperate parts, or are they still part of the arm part? If they are seperate, it makes sense that they could be left out in favor of these resin replacements. If they are part of the arm, how do these resin parts fit? Do they rest on top of the existing shoulder plates?

Dude, I wish they would make tac squad ones, for Soul Drinkers!!!
Im really contemplating making an Ultramarine squad for killteam or small points. I just love their color scheme, but hate their blandness in the rules department... not to mention everyones going to be doing Ultras as newbs, since thats all the Marine codex pushes.. and the noobs do not know better...
Still, those shoulderpads are nice...
CRaster- the shoulderpads are seperate, similar to power armor marines now.

$15 for 10 shoulder pads? You've GOT to be shitting me? Don't forget the int'l shipping, (although The Warstore does carry them here in the states, but it ends up being cheaper to buy form overseas by about $3 or so). Even GW isn't that bad, (10 pads will cost you $12.50 and they're pewter, not poinsonous, gotta clean and trim too much resin). Man, I know FW is bad, but that's ridiculous. There's nothing on those pads that even a modestly competent modeller couldn't do w/ green stuff.
The armorcast tutorial is good, but jus tin case, FW has one here as well;

And so will I! :giggler:
I just wanted to share these pretty cool shoulder pads, and wondered if anyone knew if other chapters are comming out...(because then I'll have a reason to let my termies sit on the shelf for few weeks!)

(Sorry Dante, I nuked my own post after thinking about it. Bitterness is the gift that keeps on taking)

IIRC everyone but the DA will be getting FW shoulder pads, supposedly GW will have their home brew Deathwing eventually.

forgeworld is just too expensive for mwa.....
I prefer to home brew units or convert em.....
Like my conscript platoon. I converted WHFB empire militia to make them. And Im gonna get some ogre kingdoms stuff so I can make Ogyrans.
