Can't create a profile!!!! :(

Sigh,

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem. This is the 2nd time I've installed DOW (actually had to uninstall it previously to make space for something else) and now it won't let me create a profile! So i'm stuck. :(

I type in the name, click on create and it obviates the name. I'm like, WHAT THE???? The only thing i can do then is to Ctrl - Alt - Delete, and close off the game in Windows.

Btw, after i installed it this time round, i went and downloaded all the necessary updates. So it's pretty current.

Post a warnings.log from directly after such a failed attempt please.

This is an occasional bug we've had reported which happens when you install the game and then install the patches before running the game and creating a profile. I have no idea why it happens but the solution is to reinstall again but this time quickly run the game and create a profile before you start patching.
