Direct Connect problems ( even with Live IPs)

my friends and i have been trying to ply 2v2 for a while now, and it just doesnt work. 2 ppl, and sometimes 3 can connect but never a 4th. I have read evillammas and others workarounds for the NAT bug but the scenario here is that 3 out of 4 players are on different ISPs with live IPs. the 4th may or may not be behind a NAT but does not have a live IP.

Gamespy works, but lotta ppl dont like it...

anyone know how to get this thing working ?

I have good experience with Hamachi Virtual network system. It's free at hamachi.cc. Try it out. It creates virtual local net for joined computers, so in DoW you only need to start LAN game
