When tried to create an online account for the multiplayer, I say 'create profile', evter the fields, and click 'accept'. A box pops up saying 'password is incorrect'. What does this mean? I'm not trying to log in, I;m trying to create an account!

(Oh, yes, people who remember I had a problem with the CD key a while ago, I've worked around that (bought another copy) and it seems to work... except for this)

Could mean that the name you're trying to use already exists. Have you tried another name?

You have to type the password twice, so may it be you mispelled one of them?

or are you putting strange symbols in your password? Its possible it doesnt like that - try a simple password using just letters/numbers.

Thanks for the help, but I still get 'password is incorrect'.
Since the account was not created, I can share the password and stuff, right?
The first time I made the username ]howzat|maw[ and the password :censored:. It said 'password incorrect'.
I made the username |maw| and the password :censored:. It said the name was taken. What's going on here?

some people have been having problems creating an account with gamespy with symbols in their names recently - try making a name without any symbols.

Do you have a router or a firewall? For some reason if port 6112 isn't being forwarded properly some people can't create profiles and keep getting weird errors like yours.

ok, I tried creating ]howzat|maw[ and |maw| and it gave me the same errors that it gave you. I created "howzat-maw" and it worked fine...the password is the one you put in your post above (which Ive now edited out) and I used "Dragun@hotmail.com" as the email address (may or may not exist, it doesnt matter).

You can use that account if you like...but could you also answer Moe's question - the more data we can collect on this the better.

Thanks TBS!
And Moe, I've got no ideas about routers or firewalls, but I think dad might have something like that in.
