The game isnt supported on linux, your best bet is to use Wine...however theres no guaruntee that it will work. (http://www.google.es/) As I said in that thread the best option is to set up a separate Win XP partition purely for gaming.

I would also like to register my interest in a Linux-compatible version.

Iv gotten it to run under WineX (google transgaming) however with no sound and horrid load times.

However Id love to see it run natively on Linux.
