Online connection issues with 2 computers

Recently picked up a second copy of DoW to play online with my brother via our 2 networked computers. Previously, we had no troubles connecting to an online game when just one was playing the game, but now that we are both trying to connect to the same game, it has been giving the error regarding the firewall and router. We were successful with one game earlier today, however all other attempts to join have failed.

The router is a Linksys WRT54G, which has never been all the cooperative...

Both systems run WinXP with Service Pack 2, DoW is an exception on both firewalls.

Like I said, we have two legit copies of DoW, the second was bought specifically so we could play online, this trouble has been a disappointing...

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am actively looking into fixes myself at the moment. Thanks

The problem is that you need to forward certain ports, most importantly 6112, and you can only forward them to one computer at a time.
I'm not aware of any workarounds that let you play online with two computers from behind the same router.

Thanks for the info, it was just odd to me that we were successful in a game, but then future games were not. Why would this be?
