I have followed the portforward site for forwarding the ports.
I have turned off my firewall and my virus scanner, windows firewall is disabled, but when I go online to play a game I cannot join any games as I get the error: the host could not be found, the host may have quit or there may be connection issues, make sure you both have corectly configured connections, firewalls, routers.
I have reinstalled the game and still get the same problem. I cant think of anything left to do, and havent been able to find anything else to do to fix the problem. any help would be apreciated

Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112
Waited with no reply, make sure udp port 6112 is forwarded.
but I do have that port forwarded.
well, obviously it is not. How do you connect to the internet?

My computer is connected to a router. the router is connected to my set top box. I am with NTL.
Well there must be something blocking that port but I cannot think what it is. it can't be my router or firewall or virus scanner, as they are all forwarded or disabled. hmm this is quite a tuffy :(

I am having the exact same problem (I haven't played online for a month, but no problems back then). I have a cable connection and I am connected directly to the cable module thingy.

Badger I have a suggestion for you, I found with some software that needs port forwarding that even though the windows firewall is turned of it was still blocking the ports, so maybe you coukld try what I did to fix that:
Go to control pannel --> Network Connections --> right click on your connection and select properties --> in the new window click the advance tag --> under windows firewall click settings --> then in the new window press the advance tab --> under network connection settings untick all the boxes that are there. This should stop windows firewall working on all those connections that you unticked.
Don't know if that will fix it for you but it is worth a try.
as for me I have tried adding all the ports to the exceptions anyway and it still wont let me join multuiplayer games :flame:
these area all the ports that are forwarded on my router:
1 DoW40k1 6500 6500 192.168.0.3
2 DoW40k2 6667 6667 192.168.0.3
3 DoW40k3 27900 27900 192.168.0.3
4 DoW40k4 27901 27901 192.168.0.3
5 DoW40k5 28910 28910 192.168.0.3
6 DoW40k6 29900 29900 192.168.0.3
7 DoW40k7 29901 29901 192.168.0.3
8 DoW40k8 29910 29910 192.168.0.3
9 Dawnofwar 6112 6112 192.168.0.3
10 DoW40k9 29920 29920 192.168.0.3
also although that java test says that the port isnt forwarded I used the azureus port tester and that says that the port 6112 is okay.
also I just looked at the warnings log and I found this:
14:34:01.82 PeerState::ProcessConnected - failed to connect to the host res = 2, reason =0
and
14:32:13.06 PeerState - 192.168.0.3:6112 / 192.168.0.3:6112
14:32:13.06 PeerState::ConnectCallbackHost - connecting to host at 255.255.255.255:6112
14:32:13.06 GSTransport::Connect - GT2AddressError
**UPDATE** I tried connecting to the internet directly and it worked so the problem lies in my router. After a little research I found that people with the same router as me had the same problem as me and cannot get it working. i have the Netgear RP614 so maybe the game is not compatible with that router or soemthing.
