ok, when I had my linksys router a while back I could play this game along with warcraft 3, C&C gens:ZH.... that router broke and we had to get a new one.. my dad bought some netgear peice of crap that just doesnt want me to play my games =/ (I can play BF2, and CS:S) I get the same error most other people are getting , the whole " you couldnt stay in lobby blah balh firewall, router blah :soul: blah". I tried turning the DMZ thing on, that didnt work. I tried setting port 6112(or w/e it is) to a trigger... and tried to open it but it kept asking me for an IP and I gave it my comp IP and it said "Enter your LAN IP" and I did and it still didnt accept it. I just dont know what to do now
I did that DoW tester and this is what it said:
Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112
Received from /66.134.89.225:6112 to 6112 "udp pass"
udp port 6500 Receive timed out
udp port 27900 Receive timed out
udp port 27901 Receive timed out
udp port 29910 Receive timed out
tcp port 6667 Accept timed out
tcp port 28910 Accept timed out
tcp port 29900 Accept timed out
tcp port 29901 Accept timed out
tcp port 29920 Accept timed out
I really wanna play DoW =/
If you know how make a screenshot of the submenu and I'll tell you how to correctly configure it.
You already forwarded pot 6112 though, that worked. "only" the gamespy ports to go.

Please help!!!! :steam:
Ok, this looks like you're just triggering the ports which isn't enough. You should make entries in the Ports - Custom Services menu.
Choose a name of your choice, select UDP if you can, if not leave it at TCP/UDP.
Starting and Ending Port should be 6112
To get your local IP Address click on "Start" select "Run" type "cmd" type "ipconfig" and look it up.
Considering your post up there, if it shows 6112 UDP pass, you should be fine. The gamespy ports are not that important, but if you want to be on the save side add (=repeat the steps above) them as well, accordingly to the list above. Make sure you set the right protocol type.
Btw, there is a limit of 5 smilies/per post.
