I found my old copy of Master of Magic:banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: and want to fire it up, but it complaining that it needs 2mb of Expanded Memory. Does anyone know of a program or method to make Windows 98se create an Expanded Memory partition?

Pfff, "Expanded Memory partition"...
Too few people know how to use DOS nowadays! Expanded Memory (aka EMS) is the memory in the region 1024KB - 32MB of your RAM. Tbird is right 'bout the Autoexec.bat/Config.sys editing, but that Knowledge Base article is the wrong one.
Try this (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;96766).

You might also want to look at creating a boot disk, although that in itself runs into problems with mouse/sound drivers.
Essentially what those KB articles are saying is that you want to modify your config.sys file to allow expanded memory. You do this with the line:
device=c:\dos\emm386.exe 2048 ram
You don't need to worry about DOS=High,UMB since you aren't too worried about maximising conventional (sub 640k) memory here.
What I do at home when I want to play Mom is create a hardware profile with settings for all the dos games, including expanded and extended memory and so on.
Hope you get it working - it's a classic, very enjoyable, game :)

Thanks Delphy!:D
Works better than new(mostly due to an enhanced MIDI table)
Still have the random freeze crash, but I'll patch it ASAP.

One thing I can never get to work is the sound effects... midi music works great. Ah well, I pretty much know them all off by heart anyway :)
(Did you know the sound effect that plays when you change sound options in moo2 is the same effect that plays when you vanquish a wizard in mom?)

ahhh DOS I miss it sooo. the good old days when ya had to sit there with that 1 1/2 inch thick book screwing around with your system files. (not being sarcastic) And that glorious day you discover DOSSHELL.exe, and the whole world changed.
