Your probably on the recieving end of the overloaded THQ servers. I would go bit-torrent. Waiting should ease the server load, just leave it to it overnight and you should be fine by the morning.

yes i got BitTorrent, and it really fast.......thanks,
ok everyone that dont believe in bitTorrent, get use it and uninstall it...........\
im averaging a 256kb DL rate, got 10% in a matter of 2 mins approx
Using it to download and then removing it does rather defeat the purpose of bittorrent - it would be nice of you to leave it seeding for a while so others can get it faster.

Also for those that care there are more mirriors now then there were when the frist THQ mirror which almost rolled over and died was put up.
Get bittorrent. It resumes downloads.
Or get a download manager like FlashGetIt which can also resume broken downloads.

That's right Moe... bitTorrent downloads it unbelievably quickly! just started mine ten mins ago and its half done already. BitTorrent is a great idea and people shouldn't just use it then uninstall it!

great, I'm using bit tornado and it's giving me a download speed of 7kb/sec at an upload rate of 10kb/ sec. So much for fairness. Oh well, only 9 hours 43 minutes and 27 seconds to go...
I've been sharing it ever since it was released at 30kb/s up speed. We have the hwcommunity file server tied in at 250kb/s as well. The main problem are people downloading it and then immediately removing the download.
