Really big Issues with DoW cannot access Lobby

Well, I have tried logging into the online lobby to download the new patch 1.4 and I keep getting the message that I need to check my internet connection and/or firewall/router. This has never happened and it is very aggravating not being able to play just when I really want to. I have my ports forwarded on my router so that isn't the problem, the internet works fine, and I don't know what else it could be because I have no firewall.

Is it because there are so many people trying to download the patch?

PS I tried to dl the patch w/ bittorrent and it told me that it is corrupted now. I am an experienced bt user and know this sometimes can happen but how else do I get the patch if I can't log on and I can't use bt?!?!?

Someone please tell me what is going on!!!

I just used the NAT tester that is stickied here and I don't know why but all my UDP ports are passing yet my TCP are not responding. I have both TCP and UDP forwarded and on top of that I am the DMZ.

Whenever I use www.grc.com to check my ports it says that everything is fine like it should be. On top of that bittorrent works fine...does anyone know anything?

I was looking through for just this peticular problem. My buddy is trying to log on and is having the same problem after downloading 1.4 patch.
Please post how this problem is solved so I can forward the site info to him.

Try downloading the patch from www.filefront.com off one of their public servers.

They have a subsite for DOW where all the player made maps and mods are hosted

Sorry Lonewolf - looks like we missed your thread in the rush of post 1.4 help threads...did you get the problem fixed?

turbotj: have your friend post a warnings.log and the results of the net test stickied at the top of this forum.
