problems with 1.4

i have a prob. i download 1.4 from DOW files, and i cant instal it.. i get an error and it says installer cant find game :/
i cant uninstall becouse i dont know where is my readme and cdkey :weep: and when i start to download patch from game server (in game i mean) it stop in halfway, now i start again but it is gonna take still 7-10 hours :weep: any ideas? why i cant patch it with the installer? and is there somekind of cdkey viewer?

There sure is.
Go to run,
type in regedit
double click HK_LOCAL_MACHINE
double click SOFTWARE
double click THQ
double click Dawn of War
have a look-see at what's written next to CD-KEY

CD Key can be viewed in registry

Run Regedit
Hk_local_machine\software\thq\dawnofwar

Should work as long as the location points to the right place. I believe a new install would overwrite the old registry entry anyway, making it unneccesary.

And patching may take a long time, it has to decompress, rearrange and then recompress a lot of huge archive files.

In regards to the patching, expect it to hang for long periods, this is normal
