Corrupt 1.4 patch

If your patch filesize is 189,506,539 bytes, then I have created a set of par2 files that will repair it (actually they should repair other corruption or truncation as well). Moe will mirror them soon, but if you want them before that, pm me and I'll see what I can do.

This fix requires quickpar, get it here:

After you have the par files and quickpar, you simply run quickpar and load the first par file, then click the repair button and wait a couple minutes.

The total size of the par files is just under 20MB, so this should save a lot of time for anyone who has the corrupt patch and has not deleted it yet.

Well most of the credit goes to Excedrin, it was his idea, and he made the files.

That may be true, but you try spending 2 days on 56k dialup dling this patch, taking phone calls on your mobile because people can't reach you on the phone line, slowly watching that evil dial go tick-tick-tick, retiring to sleep knowing your internets might die and kill the connection, etc etc etc.

When someone gets a fix after that two night result of internet reapage, no matter how small their part in it, you are teh happy.

By the way, you may want to get a download manager that resumes your downloads such as flashgetit - if you get disconnected it can resume your download.
