I would imagine they're the same version. Unless they have specific changes for "British" english and "American" english. ;)

Well there is deferances in slag useage and other such nucances. I'm no Language expert but just by hearing British and Americans talk you can hear differances.
Examples: You don't hear many Americans saying "bodge" or "bugger" very often.

Offtopic: Sorry, had to do this
American English and English English are both correct. i.e. colour and color.
In fact, if you really want to get technical, American English is more 'correct'(bad word to use i know, but i couldn't think of anything else at the time) as it is closer to the original version of the words. The American spelling derived from that used by the pilgrims, who left England before the English went through a period of "we want to be French"ness and added vowels and consonant to everything to make them look better. neither verson is wrong, just different.

Thanks for the lingual lesson Maviric! ;) Very interesting but as it's been confermed British and American copies are the same unless there is some unseen british conspericy to stop the compatibility of American/English language computer code from working with each other.
Edit: I never knew it was French influance, I thought it was spelled in Old English (the extra u and stuff like that).

Im no historical language expert maviric, but saying "american english is correct" well is just wrong, how the exclusion of vowels make it "more correct" ?the words were correct with the vowels, why in Canada do we use vowels? and in australia they do to (apart from the fact they were british colonies, but so too was america). TAnd when the heck did the english ever want to be french. Therefore americans, as far as i know are the only ones who dont use vowels in there words. How are they correct, because there american? lol
p.s sorry for changing the topic of this thread, it just had to be said, on topic the versions are mostly likely the same.

Well I have to say is none of us speak or write proper english as it was. Culture and time has chaged the language in all the countries that speak it( and for that matter depending in which part of your city you live in may make a difference.) So yes some Americans can be snotty bastards, but the truth is there is no proper english left.

I think i said in my post that 'corrct was a bad word to use' and i will agree that there is no real 'correct' form of any language, they are constantly changing and evolving with differen't uses for word, grammar etc, but I couldn't think of a better word to use at the time :P . It would be better to say that it is closer to the original form of english. as i said originally, they are both correct.
The reason that the Land down under(Australia), and in Canada, use vowels is that both colonies were set up AFTER the change in the language, while the American pilgrims, due to religious persecution, left much earlier, before the change.
Also, the thing with the French is funny isn't it. But do a search for Queen Elizabeth and her 'little frog'
The reason that the American version is correct is the same as the reason that the British version is correct. Think of the difference in spelling in the same light as the difference int he use of words in our time period compared to that of the sixties, or even the twenties :)
edit: wow, in the time i typed this thing 3 people have posted, i rant to much, sorry.

The true english are the Welsh.
Um - getting back on topic, both versions are simply "English" I believe (check your Regions.ini file to confirm).
The British version certainly didnt have different voice actors or anything like that (although a brummy Sindri would have rocked...).
