1628: Failed to complete installation

How Do I fix this error message?
I've tried;
reinstalling Dawn of war (3 times)
redownloading 1.01 patch (4 times)
clearing temp directories (windows/temp and local profile)
downloading gamespy to run the game but It looks like u have to pay for that

Any other ideas?

-I've tried to search these forums for 1628 but the search feature is disabled
-Looked under every entry for 1628 and Dawn of war in google , tried all the tips mentioned there

I've done all three steps also, to no avail...

Have you tried copying the WA discs to your hard drive and installing from there?
