Well for one it would be really interesting to know what kind of error you're getting.

well,,
error in internet explorer's script,
rule: 34
sign: 1
error: object is expected
Code: 0
URL : http://amlocalhost.trymedia.com/00587fd4/valueadded/0/open.html?currenttime=2005/10/02@17:05:05&pooltime=2005/10/02@16:28:54&license_ts=0&offering=99u_pkg542&file=winterassaultdemo
do you wish to contineu

"yes" and "no"

( yes i have tried the url manually )
and the error was in dutch i've translated it
but i get this normally and by pressing yes i can contineu
wich is not the case now...

I have this same problem, and would really like some help on the situation. Let me explain a little more.

When I run the dowwa_fp.exe it initializes just like usual then asks me if I would like to sign up for E-Mails, I can just skip this bit. Then it proceeds to "Load files needed for installation" (or something to that extent). This takes a while but works eventually, then a new Internet-Explorer-Style box pops up, alongside with a "Internet Explorer Script Error" Box.
Heres a bit more info on the error:
Line: 198
Char: 87
Error: Expected '}'
Code: 0
URL: (Long URL)

I can then select whether to run Scripts on the page or not. Pressing yes or no opens up "Dawn of War Winter Assault Exclusive Demo" Picture, which says "click anywhere to install". When i click to install it gives another Internet Explorer Script Error, this time it says:
Line: 34
Char: 1
Error: Object Expected
Code: 0
URL: (Long URL)

This time, i can press both yes and no, but nothing happens when i press either of them. So it will never begin to install the game.

Any help would be great, cheers in advance!

Reboot your computer and hit F8 as it starts up - choose to start in safe mode. Install.

I'm using Windows XP SP2, all up-to-date. Man this error is annoying! No-one seems to have a clue why its happening.

PS: The error occured on SP1 and SP2.
