Banners & Badges

I read the tut about how to make your own badges and banners and saw they need to be saved as Targa. I have a program which can convert files onto Targa, I used ti and saved them to the banners/badges folder and they don't come up on army painter. Does it still work even though I didn't use PSP or Gimp?

Well i have read a tut on making you own symbols in a game called Unreal Tournament 2004 and it says to use gimp or photoshop (fairly late version). I don't know how to make a badge or banner but if i were you i would try saving the banner as targa in gimp and export it which it automatically does i think. O.....and make sure it is in index for the colours;)
