Trouble patching?

Okay...I have downloaded the English Retail Patch 1.10, and it tells me that it is the wrong patch for the version I have. I don't see how that could be as I have the english version.

Can someone give me some tips here so I can update to the most current version?

ok, if you just installed fresh, you need to get 1.01, then put in 1.1 then 1.2 etc until you have 1.4. Also if you have got Winter Assault, the expansion that will put you up to 1.4 no matter the version you have. Also if you log into play online it will check for the latest patch and get them in the right order for you.

If you can't find a 1.01 then I suggest you get it from the autopatcher its tiny.

Connect to gamespy with your game by clicking on "multiplayer", then selecting "online", and it will download and install all patches in the correct order for you.
