(WA) 125$ Error when launching W40kWa.exe (solved)

Hi all

i bought the dawn of war box with WA in it, installed both and it ran just fine. So i went to eat some and came back and I was shocked.

So my problem is if i click on the W40kWA.exe button (with win2k compatibility or not) i get some bug report send request. There is no cd spin icon like when i start Dawn of War ( it sill runs fine). I tried several things listed in the forum... hell even safe mode.

I just dont get it why i could play it and now i just get some bug report send request.

Can anyone help me out in this crucial moment -.-

Okay i just had enough of this shit


I formated my drive and reinstalled winxp, put shitty SP1+SP2
on it and voilà -> it works. dont know for how long but it does. and I like it that way.

I kinda think its worth it if it doesnt change into this scheissendreck 125$ error gain.

Formatting will solve all manner of problems, however its rather extreme and I always feel that its a bit of a cop out if I suggest it as a fix (the only exception being when people clearly have a corrupt windows install so a format is obviously necessary).

Glad this fixed the problem :)

Incidentally, if the problem comes back after you install a specific driver or piece of software then let us know which driver/software it was so in future we can tell people to remove it rather than formatting.
