Problem with Patch 1.4

I just bought a genuine version of Dawn of War from Hong Kong. I jumped online and successfully patched to 1.3, however when I tried 1.4 I received the following error.
"Patching error: you are attempting to patch the wrong locale of dawon of war. please ensure you downloaded the correct patch for your language version, and try installing again".

Where is the correct 1.4 patch for the asia version???

There appears to be an error in the installer for the asian version, we are currently waiting for a hotfix that will hopefully resolve this issue.

When will it be fixed and how will i know it has been fixed? will i be able to download it by selecting multiplayer within DoW like I did with patch 1.3, or will i have to download it manually?

I don't know when it will be fixed. The hotfix will probably be available via gamespy as well just like 1.3, but I'm not sure how Relic/THQ intends on distributing this. All I know is that someone from THQ Germany confirmed this bug and said that they were working on a fix.

I to have the problem where online patch wont go past 1.3 for asian/chinese version. where should i look to see when the bug is fixed? will there be a post here? Many thanks.

I'm sorry I don't have better news for you folks - I suggest you contact your local THQ office (the number should be in the manual) and ask them. As soon as we know something we'll make an announcement, usually that's about one week before the patch is released though.

When a working patch for your version of the game is released there will be a sticky here, until then there is nothing any of us can do.

Ive got the exact same problem. Also, ive gotten winter assault, and I cant install it. It says I havent installed DoW yet

The powers that be know about the issue, I dont know when it will be resolved - you just have to be patient.

If you want to try and speed things along then email the official tech support (see your manual).

There should be a link to the THQ support site for your country, you will have to fill in a form or something.

Hello moe and TBS, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, then using the all in one patch as moe suggested after? Its possible your installation is corrupt

As we dont have the version in question we cant try that, however someone who does have this version tried it and it didnt work.
