IMO, the one machine that truely defined gaming. Sure, you could've moved left and right in ET, up and down in Pong, and hear wonderful music through Pac Man...but come on, how about everything in one package! (http://web.vip.hr/thitri.vip/no12/mario1ve.jpg)
ok, bad rant. here's to 20 more years of nintendo
on a side note, I was born exactly 49 days later :smash:
edit: whoops, sorry, forgot the dates! October 18th, 1985, marked the day the NES landed in North America. That makes our beloved console 20 years old!

I have to replace the cartridge slot in mine at some point (if I could remember the URL for that electronic parts supplier, meh I'll google it at some point). It works, but you have to fiddle with the cart before it works.
I'm going to buy a cake for my NES.

I'm going to find a NES just to use it as a sound module. The music in those old games rocked.
And maybe a couple of rounds of Duck Hunt too.. =]

I still think the SNES is better, but I have much respect for Grandpa.

Mmmm NES. River City Ransom, Mario 3, and Zelda were my favorites. Time to whip out the old NES for some nostalgia... :)

Ah, the NES, do you remember that robot thing that you could get for it? Kinda looked like short circuit?
