Ok I've had about enough of this - I've been kicked out of loads of games now and I fail to see why. How can I tell if I am really lagging?
I play generally 3vs3s with all settings set to medium my specs are:
Athlon XP 2600+ OC'd to 2.4ghz
2GB 2700DDR RAM
6600GT OC'd
1MB Broadband from TalkTalk
D-Link 300T ADSL Modem
Any ideas? I'm at my wits end here :grumble:
Post the results of this (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=63593) please.

Thanks for trying anything else it could be? (I don't even know if it's me lagging but I've been kicked out of about 5games in a row now :werd: )
Do you have any software firewalls or virus scanners running? If so, try shutting them down.

Yeah I run AVG and ZoneAlarm but I always shut them down before playing any online game.
hmm, lets see a warnings.log from after a lag kick.

There we go!
hmm, nothing informative there...all that really remains is actual network problems - if your network is wireless does it get a good signal? Do you get a good connection - plenty of bandwidth, low ping etc?

Not on wireless yet (ment to be setting it up at some point but to lazy right now), and pingwise I average out at about 30-40 on a 22 man CounterStrike: Source server.
ok, theres no reason I can see for you being kicked for "extreme lag" - maybe someone else can think of something.

I dont want to seem an idiot, but isnt it just gamespy being poo like usual?
the game is peer to peer - when you're in and playing the gamespy servers could be hit by a bomb and the game would continue.

you learn something new every day dont you? :D
well if my p2p know how is up to scratch, im guessing that if the other players arent reciveing data from you (i dont know why, im not a brainbox) then you will be kicked.
thats like iMesh (dont start), if one isnt sending you data, they get disconnected from everyone else.
