Ahoj!
:notadd: Ok, I've been playing DoW for a few months and this has been annoying me a lot: when I try to install any patches after 1.10(meaning I can instal 1.10 but no further) I get a message when I try to install patch 1.20:
Patching Error: The patching system detects that critical game files have been moved, or were modified. Uninstall and reinstall Dawn of War, then try again.
If it helps, I tried this advice and it didn't work. I also tried to move files from disk 2 to 1, but yet again I don't have WINZip or WINRam. It's starting to annoy me, because it's been like this for months. Thanks!
Do a clean reinstall (uninstall, delete install directory, reinstall) and then try this patch (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=80134), it should patch you all the way up to 1.41.

is there someplace else i can get that patch besides file planet(im waiting on line, and still for another 36 minutes!
install directory?
after uninstalling there may be stuff left in the "C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War" directory - delete it.
As for other download locations - theres the torrent, but I dont know of any other mirrors. It will be up in other places, you will have to google for it.

Ok which patch did you use? The all-in-one patch?
Also, make sure you have at least 3 GB on your C: drive and on whichever partition you installed DoW to.

i used the 1.41 patch(all-in one), which was corrupted(i downloaded it from fileplanet and some other place, both corrupt) then I tried the 1.1 and 1.2 patches(1.1 from gamespy 1.2 from gamespy) and I got error 1337, whatever that is:
Critical gamefiles have been deleted, or have been moved. Uninstall and reinstall Dawn of war and try again.
Wait, you got a corrupted and a game files ahve been removed error? Post a dxdiag.txt please.

1st: my C folder(hard drive) has 59 free GB, so i'm fine.
2nd: here's my dxdiag.txt file problem accociated with DoW:

Also(ever since I tried to patch 1.10) I get this error when I try to run DoW:
The procedure entry point ??1CRCBlock@@QAE@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library simengine.dll. After this, no other patches could be installed manually.
hmm, Im surprised that you can play the game with that intel graphics controller.

uhm yea i actually had to do it in the "safe mode" maybe thats why... should I really get a new graphics card? never thought 'bout it
you may not be able to if your motherboard doesnt have an AGP slot.
Anyway, the graphics card shouldnt prevent you from patching the game...

I am having the same problem. I had Winter Assault working at 1.4, but when I patched to 1.41, it broke the game. Whenever I got into the game engine, the program would crash to desktop. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled, but now everytime I apply the 1.2 patch, i get the mentioned error. Checking patch.err, I get the folowing message:
ENTRY: W40k\W40kData.sga
error ept0036: Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was
found. No update done since file contents do not match.
It's as if my 1.1 patch breaks the files so that 1.2 can't recognize it. I have tried all the mentioned fixes, and I have way more then enough room in my HDD for this (30 Gb free). I'm going to keep messing around with it, and if I get it working i'll tell you. Is there any information I can give you to help me?
Thanks,
Stim0r
Oh, one more thing. I can't to the complete 1 to 1.41 update, as all the copies of the full 1.41 update say they are corrupted when trying to install. They all came from diffrent sources. I'm thinking of reformatting WinXP.
Lets see a dxdiag please.
