View Full Version : Gamespy Tracking Issue Revisited

I posted this in another forum, but received no help. Maybe someone knows what's going on here... I hope so, since this is really begining to annoy me. I've played three more automatches since this post, all wins, none counted. I want to play automatch and none of my wins are counting. Not... one. :(

Anyway, here's what I posted:

I have noticed something more abruptly lately on Gamespy that perhaps some of you have an answer for.

I've played DoW since it was released off and on, yet only really played it regularly a few months ago. Since then I've played mostly team games and unranked 1vs1s. I've noticed a bad trend in Gamespy stats tracking that I used to just rack up to my bad luck:

In 1vs1, wins don't count 90% of the time.

Before I used to notice this for along time, but never really paid attention to it, since I rarely played automatch because I couldn't 'find myself' online. Basically, I couldn't find a home race to master, instead I bounced around between all the races.. a jack of all trades master of none... which doesn't make for the best automatcher in my opinion. So the fact that 1vs1 wins wouldn't count alot of times, didn't bother me much...

Until now.

After alot of practice and finally finding a race I can relate to and attempt to master, I've decided to play more 1vs1 unranked for practice and finally started automatching the past two days... then I ran into a big brick wall.

I've played 5 automatches on my current account, lost 2... won three. The problem? Only the two losses counted. I became fustrated and played more unranked 1vs1 to refine my strategy and tactics, also to blow off steam. Yet again, I'd win many games... none ever counted... the losses, did.

Needless to say I've been fairly fustrated and I'm hesitate to play automatch again because.. well... the wins not counting kind of defeats the purpose. I checked with my friend, he played a few 1vs1 as well... the ones he won, more often than not did not count, ones he lost... did.

So my question is... what the hell is up with the stats tracking? Is this just my friend and I's problem or a global one? If so... that'd mean all the top players have played 3 times more ranked games than it shows... which is utterly stupid.

I hope someone can clear this up for me, since I do want to continue automatching, just not in vain.

Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112

Received from /66.134.89.225:36612 to 29920 "tcp pass"

This is after doing what was suggested and opening up the ports. Before, all of those were timed out or denyed. Still... odd that the only problem I had online were 1vs1 wins not counting. Team games, 1vs1 losses, ect all counted... why just the 1vs1 wins?

Anyway, I'll give it a go later to day to see if it made a difference.

hmm - two ports are still blocked...can you not forward them?

Yeah I unblocked it, I guess I forgot those two, shows up now.. I'll try some games and get back on here with the result.

*Edit*

Just won another automatch 1vs1.

Didn't count...

:(

Btw, here are the results of the latest test:

Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112

Received from /66.134.89.225:36760 to 29920 "tcp pass

After playing a few games, team games still count win or lose, 1vs1 still count if I lose.

1vs1 wins, automatch or not do not count.

well thats just weird.

Are you sure its not just delayed? Stats dont update in real time.

I'm sure, I just checked the online stats again. I tried it on an account I hadn't played since the reset either... still shows up as zero games played (even though I won two AM on it).

Beats the hell out of me... but makes automatching a fruitless exercise right now.. :(

There a trick to getting games to count? I always thought if I stayed in the game a little while after I won might help make it count (of course it really didn't in 1vs1 wins).

Maybe I'm doing the wrong kind of ritual to get my wins to count. :weep:

Contact official tech support, if there is some weird glitch with 1v1 stat reporting then they need to know about it.

Have a warnings.log from after some 1v1s that havent counted on hand to give them.

Well, thanks for the help... I'll see about doing that.
