I have DOW already installed and have bought the expansion pack but it WILL NOT INSTALL! and getting through to THQ is a fairy tale joke. I get down to two seconds and then the install stops. Tried everything including copying to HDD! Please help as this game was a gift to my son! :weep: :weep:
Yeah you probably wont be able to get through to THQ until after new year.
Now, what do you mean by "stops"? does it close down or freeze? Have you tried doing a clean reinstall of DoW (uninstall, delete install directory, reinstall, run game once to create profile, install WA)?
Shut down any antivirals/firewalls you have running and defrag your HDD.

yes it just keeps running the installer until it times out I have shut down the firewalls and the anti virus...I copied the disks to my hdd and now i get the message to please install DOW error
I am geetting an error message saying that cab3 is corrupt and can not be used even when i used the copy i put on my hdd could this be a software glitch or do i need a new disk?
does the file give you some kind of error as you copy it or only when you go to install?
Have you done the clean reinstall of DoW?

yep i just tried a brand new disk and no luck
I tried every trick i could find in this firum and then some so i went and got a new disk because the cab3 file was corrupt but that did nothing either i should just avoid thq
the only error i got was about the cab3 file every other time it installs to seven seconds and then sits for about an hour and then times out i think i hace to just give up and back to c&c and advise the same for others
Lets see a dxdiag.
You could also try a manual install (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=73878&highlight=manual+install).
