Do you possibly still have WA CD2 in the drive instead of CD1?

Just tried again, I installed game again and got through the installation, however when I am prompted to "insert disc 1" after pressing finish, it pops up a "secure rom" window and says "please insert the original disc and not a back up".

Essentially, WA thinks the disc is a copy and not the real thing. I even went to best buy and got another WA, and even different disc's don't seem to matter. I just reformatted my hard drive (so i could install normal DOW) so I have a clean installation of windows (reformatted and everything). Video drivers are up to date, and windows has the updates needed. I know its not the actual disc because i have exchanged it, and the game installs, it just thinks I have a pirated copy.

One again, this error happens when I put cd 1 in, and the mouse arrow (cursor) does the spinning cd thing, and just when its about to start, the error comes up. To clarify, the game IS INSTALLED and further attempts to click the launch icon (with disc 1 in) have ended in the same message from "secure rom".

ok, post a log from hijackthis please (google it).

If I cant see whats causing the problem you will have to contact Securom support (website (http://www.securom.com/)). Apparantly they are pretty good as tech support goes.
