DoW Crashes with every use

Someone else posted a similar problem here--my comp's been recently upgraded, a gig of RAM and top of the line video card, and then some. It has all the appropriate specs for running DoW and WA, but I'm only able to play the game for a few minutes before it crashes.

Can someone lend me a hand with this?

Could be bad RAM, run memtest86 to check that. Could also be an overheating processor - take the side off your case and point a fan in there to check that.

Failing that it could be a windows issue, a repair or complete format and reinstall would eliminate that.

Following advice in another thread I have tried replacing the Nvidia 81.98 with 78.01, 71.69 (the last ones I had working on an older PC) and the Omega drivers..all to no effect. Still get crash to desktop after a few minutes of play.
