DOW-Winter Assault fails to install

I just received Winter Assault and am trying to install it but it continually tells me to install the original when it's already on my machine. I have upgraded via playing it online. It is a Chinese-English version of the game and an Australian version on WA. I am on win 98 and have had no problems with DOW at all on my PC.

ah, the chinese-english DoW...that cannot patch up to 1.41 (for reasons unknown) and so cannot install WA, we are still waiting to hear about a fix for it.

The only solution would be to buy the aussie version of DoW as well.

:beer: Ok I fixed the problem. I rented from my local video shop a copy of the Australian Dawn of War and installed it then installed Winter assault and all is fine. I also found that my Chinese version still plays fine even with the Australian version installed.

So to fix the problem,
uninstall chinese version
borrow Dawn of War Australian and install it.
Install winter assault
then play dawn of war with chinese version and winter assault as per normal. :thumb:
