Problems With Patching after workaround

After using the following guide (IE [DoW] Installer Exits and Deletes Files found in the master troubleshooting list)to stop the installer quiting and deleteing files i used the technique with ending the process.

Now whenever i try to get a patch installer to run i get this error message "Patching Error:The Patching System Cannot Locate The Game. Please Ensure The Game Is Currently Installed On Your Machine"

follow that guide to find the DoW registry entries and make sure theyre still there and correct.

The Explination There Requires A Grasp Of Regedit I Have Not Yet Attained

ok, do a clean reinstall of the game (uninstall, delete install directory, reinstall) then install this patch (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=80134).
