Ok, Im nto quite sure how to get this bad boy up and running. The readme makes it sound like a replace the WXP.usc file in the C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn Of War\WXP\Locale\English folder with the mod itself but that not work. Any ideas? Unless I am mistaken, this is WA 1.41 compatible eh?
You would be best to ask the people who made the mod, if you want us to help you could at least provide a link to the mod in question.

There ya go
ok, I followed the instructions in the readme exactly and the mod works fine (I'm using WA 1.41). If you are sure you are putting everything exactly where it tells you to then I suggest that you look at this last part of the readme file:

Got any trouble with the mod? Gimme a buzz at tornado5@optonline.net
I can't believe this. This is the one mod that has really interested me, but it's a RAR.
Why couldn't it be a ZIP?
um, whats wrong with rar files? You just need to download another archive tool to unpack them - both winace and winrar are capable (although winace kept crashing when trying to unpack this particular file, winrar did it fine).

ok, after I unzipped the files to the DOW directory, am I supposed to replace the WXP.usc file with the leftoutunits5.module or is there something else I need to replace it with.
The problem is you need to pay to download winRAR.
zxzxi: no you dont.
panzer: you replace the WXP.usc file in the DOW directory with the WXP.usc file in the rar archive, everything else goes in the root of the DoW directory.
Everything I have found for downloading WinRAR says you must pay to get it. Or it's at leasts a trial which means it's temporary.

the top link.
You could also try winace (http://www.winace.com/), although like I said - it crashed whilst trying to unpack this particular file (its never done that before but it really didnt like this file, I redownloaded the rar file repeatedly and even reinstalled winace - it just wasnt having it).
Theres probably other software out there, but those two have always been more than sufficient for me.
License = trial = needs money to keep it.
Ive had it installed for years and its never forced me to pay any money. Edit: although on closer inspection it does appear that you are supposed to register it after 40 days, I find it odd that my copy has never stopped working...I must conclude that either the 40 day trial is a recent development or that they just couldnt be bothered to code the trial to disable itself after 40 days. Ive reinstalled the latest version, I'll be interested to see what happens in 40 days.
Regardless, it doesnt take 40 days to unpack the one file that you want to open.
Alright, I'll try it.
Eh, 40 days is a long time.
I'm assuming you can still play the regular DOW: WA by entering the game the normal way, correct?
I didnt try it, I just put back the old file and removed the mod. I assume you will still be able to play WA normally, its a crappily made mod if you cant :p

So the mod worked perfectly for you? When i access the game manager, the name of the mod shows up as 55055$ No Range as do many other things I.E. building/unit descriptions and map names. However, there is no noteable difference in the game.
I installed it following the instructions in the readme file, ran the mod from its own file (one of the files you put into the DoW directory) and played a skirmish game as Necrons. Theyre imba. Free necron warriors and monoliths immediately and they wtfpwn everything.
I suggest that you start again - uninstall DoW and WA, delete the install directory and then reinstall both. Patch to 1.41 and then install the mod following the instructions to the letter.
Everything apart from the WXP folder goes straight into the root of the DoW directory. The WXP folder contains another folder called "Locale" which, in turn, contains a folder called "English" - THAT folder contains a file called "WXP.usc", take that file and paste it into C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn Of War\WXP\Locale\English (first back up the WXP.usc file thats already there, if you have problems playing normal WA online later on then replace the new WXP.usc file with the old one).
