my comp froze so i had to hit the reset button it wouldn't even let me jump to windows ....

yep same thing happened to me, i thought it was my comp's problem.

Same here guys, and 2 other of my friends.

About 5 of my friends are online and playing games, but noone can actually log into the lobby, so as we speak there are less and less people playing.

Something is up, the game freezes when we try to login.

I know this because the "cancel" button at the "trying to log onto the online lobby system" is an active button, but about 3-5 seconds after logging in, it ceases to be an active button, you cannot click it.

Somethings up.

EDIT: Oh and by the way, if you wait a couple of minutes on that screen, you can after that alt tab to windows ect.

How long has it been happening? Can't be for too long. If "become a problem" is tied into the fact that you can't play DoW online for a few hours....

Its happend with me and 3 other friends abouit 15 mins ago, also one of my mates said his cd key is not authenticated and hes been playing for months :S

It only started happening about an hour ago.

Also, if it was locked for a patch, it wouldnt completely lock up your game and force you to reset/alt tab..

yeh same me and 2 of my mates have the same thing at we were playing it fine at 2pm uk time i remember cause i was like wow its 2pm but anyway....

The same to me, the comp frozes when trying to get online, the start button in the keyboard is still working so the only thing I can do is right click in DOW to close it. I've played fine yerterday at night so the installation and updates are ok.

Any clue of what's happening?

Gamespy appears to be having problems. Please refer to the thread in the General DoW Discussion forum for more info. We're waiting for THQ to spot the thread and yell at gamespy.
