CD Key Woes

i have lost the CD Key for Dawn of War, winter assualt. is there anyway i can get a new one? the same goes for the CD key of Homeworld. i lost that a long time ago. Am i screwed?

Are they currently installed?

the poublem is, that i got a new motherboard, so the PC will not have it installed. i want to re-install it, but it won't let me without it.

try the method said ( by me) on this forum thread it might work but the motherboard thing means it might not depends really on how the method really works but i think it uses the hard drive so try it

Wait what does having a new mainboard have to do with software being installed? Unless you have a new hard drive too, everything will still be just the way it used to be.

If your upgrading to a new mobo, the windows installation wont work because all the drivers are different, Ive upgraded 2 computers from socket A to 939 and they both needed a reinstall, I just got bsods telling me to test the hdd for errors before I reformatted.


You can try creating another windows installation on the same partition, that way you wont need to reinstall dow and can play it by using the old shortcut.

My point is that his installation should still be intact unless he has already formatted his hard drive.
