I'm trying to reinstall DoW and WA. I uninstalled using windows xp's add/remove programs feature, deleted my thq folder, rebooted, and tried reinstalling. It gets to disc 2 of vanilla DoW and then says error reading w40kdata.sga, please verify it exists and you can access it. I go to where it tells me, and there's the file all nice and in existance. So I click "retry" but it just keeps giving me the error. Then when I cancel it gives me "Feature transfer error" - Error: 1603 Fatal error during installation.
What's going on??? :help:

Okay with a little tweaking of files and locations and copying and pasting my old files and buying a new copy of DoW I got vanilla DoW to install fully. Now it's stuck on WA. The error I get now is Error 1335. The cabinet file "WinterAssault3.cab" required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
And then it goes "Internal Error 2350"
pleeeeeassseeee wtf is going on???? :help: :help: :help:
EDIT: AHHHHHH!!!!
Okay I ripped ISO's of the WA cd's, and for some reason by using the ISO of cd 1 and the physical cd 2, I got WA to install. But now I CAN'T PATCH!
The RT patch wrapper, and any patch I download from online say exactly: Warning! Error
Patching error: The patching system cannot located the game. please ensure the game is currently installed on your system.
And I somehow get the feeling I'm talking to myself :(

Okay. I'm reinstalling again because of the game's annoying tendency to crash while loading a game. I still get the error 2350 on disk 1. I'm going to do the same thing I did last time, which was to just copy the files I need from my friend, but this is really annoying. Wtf is going on here? Can someone help me out?
Hmm, I must have been away when you first made this thread.
Patching problem - check the registry to make sure the game knows where its installed.
Installation errors: if you can copy the CDs to the harddrive without getting CRC errors then there could be a problem with your windows install, if formatting is too inconvenient you could try running a windows repair.
