Securom Error

I get an error when trying to play Dawn of War from the original disk that states "Conflict With Disk Emulator Software Detected. See ww. securon. / emulation (I cant post the true url as it appears I am not allowed, but you should get the point) for more details.". The problem with this is I have no emulation software installed. I have read forums for hours, have all the latest drivers, updated firmware and still nothing works. Funny thing is I can play Winter Assault just fine. I have sent an email to securom, but so far I cant get this game to work. Any help would be appreciated. I will attach my dxdiag info just incase it helps.

You likely have some software on your system that you're not aware of. Go to the URL they suggest and follow up there.

Thanks Uber. I Probably should have explained better in my original post. I did go to the URL provided, and followed the steps to send an email after it had me run a program that I also attached a copy of. So far, I still can't play as sending them an email has not allowed me to do anything but wait and hope for a reply.(The program did'nt seem to find anything, or if it did; it did'nt tell me about it.) So I shall hope for someone who knows something I don't (at least about this issue, and is kind enough to help) to read this post.

a log from hijackthis (google it) will tell us what software is running on your system and we will tell you if any of it is known to interfere with securom.

They asked for the dxdiag to see if you had any hardware that is known to cause problems (certain brands of DVD writer) - interestingly, no CD ROM or DVD drives show up in your dxdiag...

DVD drives are 2 NEC 3540A with the latest firmware from NEC which is V. 1.04. I will go get the Hijack this program and run it to post the info it gives me in the am. Thanks for the replies so far.

Well what do you know. Securom finally answered my email and sent me a link for a new .exe . After downloading it I can play the game again. Ofcourse it doesn't answer why it didn't work in the first place.........but at least it does now. Thanks to Uber and TBS for the help.
