While any member may vote in polls in FI, are regular members prohibited from posting in the thread? It's not specifically mentioned in the sticky but, based on my reading, I presume the answer is we are prohibited.

If so, too bad. I just don't like the idea that regular members are painted with such a broad brush that it's decided we have nothing worthwhile to contribute in any FI thread. To be fair, that is probably not the mindset behind the FI restrictions but the result is the same. Not all long term regular members should be lumped with spamming noobs. We are all individuals and should be dealt in accordance with our individual behavior and not be prejudged in such a way. My 2 cents.

Actually mail, yes it is, rather explicitly:
Any member may post a new thread, however only the thread author may reply to his own thread and Senior Members may reply as well.

Regular Members may not reply to other members threads.

As stated, I presumed as much. However, I felt that since it was specifically mentioned that regular members were allowed to vote in polls (in FI), it didn't seem unreasonable to ask for confirmation that we aren't allowed to post in them as well, your quoted passage notwithstanding.

But let's not split hairs with respect to semantics. The second issue of regular members versus senior members is arguably more important. My poor expression of my thoughts perhaps did not make that as clear as I would have liked.

mailpup, again, we're testing this out. It isn't set in stone.

Fair enough. Thanks for reminding me.
