Problem with catalyst 6.5

Hi. I installed this drivers today and when playing dow my system hangs and gives a bsod "machine check exception". I'm back to 6.4 and everything is working ok.

Someone more with this problem?

Well, we can't help you if you don't specify your pc spec's (CPU, OS, memory, motherboard, driver versions etc. etc.).
Errog logs? (can be found in your root directory of DOW.

And I am sure you can find a lot on "machine check exeption" at google.

It is possible for drivers to install incorrectly, perhaps if you installed them again it would work fine.

Anyway, a dxdiag will tell us your full system specs and a warnings.log from after such a crash may be informative.

Thanks but after 2 bsod I went back to 6.4 and it's all working fine, don't know if a dxdiag and warnings will tell something now. Btw, I didnt' try more programs. Two hangs in Dow and back to 6.4

Just wanted to know if more people had tried the new drivers and had the same problem or not, so I can know if it's my problem or not. Going back to 6.4 solved the problem.

I have modified drivers for soundcard, so that could be giving problems but it was a nightmare last time I tried to install creative drivers and it's why installed the modified ones someone suggested, don't want to install them again if it's not absolutely necessary. Btw, when looking at dxdiag it says theres a directsound problem, but all is going fine
