Everytime I try to go online with DowWA i get the message "The online lobby system has disconnected. There may be connection issues between you and the online lobby servers,......"

I have played online before and have gotten this message occasionally, but for the last couple of days I get it every try. Please help me.

Here is the log from the warnings notepad

I tried the test suggested by TBS and EXCEDRINE and got this

Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112
Received from /66.134.89.225:6112 to 6112 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:6500 to 6500 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:27900 to 27900 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:27901 to 27901 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:29910 to 29910 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:51535 to 6667 "tcp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:51536 to 28910 "tcp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:51537 to 29900 "tcp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:51538 to 29901 "tcp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:51539 to 29920 "tcp pass"

So I still need more of your expert assistance. I am connected with broadband cable and a LINKSYS cable modem.

Sounds like the exact same problem I have and the results from the test are the exact same also.

when I do manage to get into a game I get kicked after about 2 minutes. The time is always 2 minutes and I know there has been an update added to the game regarding a 2 minute rule on wins and losses etc so thats a coincidence.

I'm new to the game. In total I've played 3 games or something each for a couple of minutes. I still have a win though!!! I never done anything.

HELP WOULD BE GREAT

zypher, can you please post a warnings.log from after such a disconnection attempt. Please also provide a dxdiag.txt.

sqrt(-1): ok, as you passed the net test fine that suggests that the problem isnt with your router. You will probably find that a software firewall on your machine is preventing DoW from connecting properly, shut down any that you have running and try again.

Mcaffe was blocking w40k acess to the internet so I turned it off and it worked. Thanks for your help, but I have one more question. The status of w40k acess was changed at 3:00 pm when I was at work. Any ideas on that? Thanks for your help and "Hail to the king!!!"

Hmm, that is odd - all I can think is that Mcaffee downloaded updates for itself while you were at work and that reset it's preferences (although it really shouldnt have done).

The only time this normally happens is when you apply a patch for DoW - the patch changes the exe file and so the firewall will no longer allow the program access to the net until you give it access again (the idea being that its better to be safe than sorry - it means that if some virus infects a program with internet permissions it will be blocked if it tries to access the net). However, I'm guessing that you havent just patched the game or you would have realised that that was likely to be an issue...plus the status change would have happened the next time you tried to play online with DoW, not while you were out at work.
