Online Problems

I am having trouble getting online, and when I use the applet at the top of this forum, this is the result:

Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112
Received from /66.134.89.225:6112 to 6112 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:6500 to 6500 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:27900 to 27900 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:27901 to 27901 "udp pass"

tcp port 6667 Accept timed out
Received from /66.134.89.225:40033 to 28910 "tcp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:40034 to 29900 "tcp pass"

Received from /66.134.89.225:40036 to 29920 "tcp pass"

So it looks like it's all good except where it has the one timed out. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do you use a router? If so forward port 6667 following the instructions in the port forwarding website linked in the net test thread (dont bother with the other ports, they passed the test so they dont need forwarding).

If not or if you've already done that then check with your ISP, some ISPs have been known to block port 6667 - if yours is one of them then theres not much you can do (other than switch ISPs).

Colleges also block port 6667.

But the main thing that will likely be blocking it is your anti-virus program or software firewall. Port 6667 is often used for IRC based viruses.
