After getting the new patch and seriously wanting to play online I went into my router and opened up the ports up. All of them crack wide open except for 6667. I've opened up the port for both TCP AND UDP and still nothing. I even threw my box into the router's DMZ and it still doesn't open up!

The weird thing is though, the port was wide open about a month ago and now it suddenly closed up on me regardless of what I do. What the Hell could possibly make that happen?

You ISP could have chasen to block that port (ISPs do sometimes block 6667) - check with them to see if this is the case.

What brand/make router?

Note that some anti-virus programs block that port as well.

1) Linksys WRT54G
2) I haven't changed virus scanners recently, but it's McAfee Corporate.

I'll ring up or e-mail my ISP (Optimum Online) later this week, I don't think it's my hardware/software at all.

Check your mcaffee settings. I've got the same router and it works online no problem.

Note that as of right now, Gamespy's having some *issues*.

lol this might sound stupid but psp can block your wirless connections when people use them locally.
