Playing game caused everything outside the game to get brighter.

When I play the game and enter a room, I normally have to wait a while, so normally I use ctrl + Alt + Delete to get out of the game without closing it and go surf the net. I check back every 20 seconds or so usually. Anyway, now, when I leave the game without closing it to view the internet. I notice everything got a bit brighter.

I don't know why this is happening, and the screen for the game isn't any brighter.

I also noticed. That when a game is starting and the loading page comes up, the screens outside the game go back to normal.

I'm confused? Why would/is this happen/happening?

This happens with a lot of games when you don't exit properly. It's because your gamma settings don't get reset to normal since you've killed the application. Try to use the regular exit function, or look further into why you're waiting so long (not clear on what you mean).

Like, waiting for other players to enter the rooms so that you can begin the game.

Yeah, then definitly use the back button to get out and just exit normally.

Try alt+tabbing instead of CTRL+ALT+DEL.
